Experience the power of public education.
The 2015-2016 PTA Board is a very hardworking and motivated group of ladies who are invested in making CHES a better place for all our kids.
We're just like you - we are parents and teachers; some of us work outside the home, some don't. If you're new to CHES, or have never volunteered before - we'd love to get to know you!
Welcome to Crystal Hill Elementary School (CHES) PTA 2014-2015. Our handbook has been created to inform our school community of events that are scheduled to take place. Continuous communication between and among teachers, parents and students that is clear, consistent, and specific is one of the keys to a successful and safe environment, where academic excellence prevails. It is our hope that each and every parent will find a place to become active in our schools.
While we the PTA and the staff at CHES strive in every way possible to keep parents informed of events taking place with call outs and notes being sent home, please also take the time to check the calendar on the ches.pcssd.org website. These are key components to making the communication a much smoother task.
CHES prides itself in a having an active PTA and we encourage every family to join! Your continued support is important to the success of our total school program.

HAC (Home Assistance Center)
This is a great place to check the progress of your child, because your teacher will post grades at this site. https://hac24.eschoolplus.k12.ar.us/homeaccess24/. Call the office for your child’s code and password.
If you would like to stay connected, please make sure we have a current e-mail address so you can receive e-mails to keep you informed! Send your e-mail address to the PTA at the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org. Two other great ways to stay connected is to frequent http:ches.pcssd.org and also, join the CHES Facebook page (Crystal Hill Elementary School).
Generally speaking, CHES participates in two fundraisers each year. One is Fall Fest.
∗ Volunteers are needed to help set up, man the booths, and clean up.
In the spring we usually have our second fundraiser. Details for the spring fundraiser will be coming later.
∗ Volunteers will be needed for this fundraiser too!
General PTA meetings begin at different times and will take place in the cafeteria or the media center. Please watch our Facebook page and website for updates on this.
Don’t forget volunteers are always needed for field trips, class parties, and field day.
If you have any questions, please contact our PTA at email@example.com.
Family Thanksgiving Lunch November 20
Don’t miss out on CHES Thanksgiving Lunch. This is a great way to come together with your child and celebrate everything we are thankful for…especially our school!
∗ Volunteers are needed to sell tickets and serve lunch!
Penguin Patch December 1-5: One of PTA’s service projects is to provide the opportunity for our students to shop for their families at this annual event. This year the Penguin Patch will be open December 5th thru December 9th.
∗ Volunteers are needed during the school day in the Penguin Patch.
PTA organizes lunches for the CHEMS staff several times a year. With such a large staff, we depend on parent volunteers to help cook and serve the food. Our PTA and volunteers do a tremendous job getting everything in place.
Our lunches this year are as follows:
∗ Volunteers are a must here!!
Book Fair November 17 – 20
A great way to get involved is to help in the media center through-out the year…. especially when it comes to our “Book Fair”. Mrs. Holman, our Media Specialist, will be in charge of conducting our fair, and lots of volunteers are needed.
*Volunteers are always needed in the Media Center, regardless of Book Fair.
Honor Roll Assembly
Be sure to join CHES as they honor our students after the first three 9-weeks. Check the ches.pcssd.org Website for dates and time schedule. What a great way to encourage our students to succeed!
A GREAT way to help CHES is by clipping BoxTops and sending them to the Media Center. BoxTops are mailed twice a year, but we collect them at the school year round.
For a list of participating BoxTops products visit their website: www.boxtops4education.com
